TaskBox : Personal project management in Notion
Ah, task and project management. So simple, yet so hard. I have managed projects involving 20+ people from different organizations. Yet, so far I haven’t come across a fully satisfying working system for managing my personal projects. I've used JIRA, Asana, a physical notebook, a load of spreadsheets, and many others. None can get me to focus in just the way I’m looking for. So I created TaskBox.
TaskBox is a PERSONAL project and task management tool built in Notion.
TaskBox is designed to:
- Give you a clarity about what is it that you want to accomplish with a project. As well as guide you to deliberately decide whether you should commit to the project or not.
- Help you organize actions. Some actions are so huge, you don't even know how to start. Some actions are just ideas you are not serious about doing. Some actions are urgent, important, and must be done now. **TaskBox** assists you to think it through and sort all of that out.
I imagine TaskBox to fit perfectly for the following example use cases:
- Students managing class projects.
- Indie entrepreneurs managing their online shops or a simple product launch.
- Hobbyists who manage elaborate side projects.
- Researchers doing projects solo.
- Learners who want to manage online courses and various learning activities.
- People managing everyday projects like furniture building, hosting a party, or a trip.
I simplified the Agile management approach you can find in software like JIRA to fit with small scopes of personal projects. The design has a hint of Getting Things Done (GTD) and Asana. TaskBox is very simple and low-maintenance, it stays out of your way so you can actually finish your tasks.
